Seattle Chiropractor Discusses Low Stress Exercises
Seattle Chiropractor Discusses Low Stress Exercises
Hi, I’m Dr. Zapata with Emerald City Spinal Care, and I’m here today to share another Tip of the Week. As a chiropractor in Seattle, I am often asked by people what types of exercises they should do, if any, if they are experiencing back pain or recovering from recent back pain. So, with that in mind, this week I am going to be discussing exercises that can help strengthen your back, as well as some specific types of exercise to avoid while you are recovering from back pain in Seattle WA.
Exercise is one of the greatest preventative measures for back pain. It is going to help improve your posture, increase your flexibility and strengthen your back.
Two of the best examples of exercises that are going to help strengthen your core and increase your flexibility are yoga and Pilates. The great news here is that there are a ton of great options in Seattle for anyone looking to get into either of these activities!
Now, I also think it is important to highlight some activities and exercises to avoid, whether you are experiencing back pain, or are recovering from back pain. Some specific examples would include:
- Weight Lifting
- Contact Sports
- Sit Ups
- Running
- Golf
- Racket Sports
So, that wraps up our quick Tip of the Week! For more original content, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel or you can follow us on Facebook, where we post updated tips each week, plus a whole lot of additional content!
